DATE & TIME
A BALANCED LIFE will need a minimum of
60
days to coordinate an event for your organization. However, to better
promote the event, 90 days is preferred. Staying clear of
holiday-shortened weeks and vacation schedules should also be considered.
Although
health expos can be held on any day of the work week, Monday is the least desirable
day of the week.
A health expo should be held at a time that will ensure the most employee
participation. Wrapping the health expo around lunchtime enables employees to
attend the health expo prior to and/or after lunch, and ensures better attendance.
Starting and finishing times of the health expo are up to your organization, but most
commonly, a health expo runs from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

The health expo should be held in a location that is well known and
convenient to your employees. Depending on space and accessibility, cafeterias,
conference rooms and lobbies can be ideal.

To help ensure a well-attended
health expo,

which you can distribute to
different departments and locations throughout your organization.

company newsletters, message boards and in supervisory meetings are also good ways to help
promote the event.
